WHAT & WHY
On May 13th I’m running the Bristol 10k for Macmillan Cancer Support! I’m hoping to run the race faster than I have before and raise lots of money for a good cause in the process. Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support is important because they rely on donations to conduct their amazing work with people and families affected by cancer. Macmillan provide information and support ranging from financial support to simply being there to listen to patients’ worries and concerns. You can find out more about Macmillan here.
WHEN & WHERE
The 2018 Bristol 10k is on Sunday the 13th of May. The course takes runners through the center of Bristol, under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and into Millennium Square. From the point of entering at the end of January I have around 15 weeks to get in shape – let’s DO THIS.
DONATE VIA JUSTGIVING
You can donate via the JustGiving page above or, if you know me in person, feel free to sign one of my sponsor sheets and pay once the race is over!
I’ve run the Bristol 10k twice before, here’s how I got on:
Bristol 10k 2011
Raised: £647 for BRACE
Bristol 10k 2012
Raised: £554 for BRACE
I’d love to beat these times and totals!
I hope to post here about my progress when my training gets underway!
